Fernand Leger Description
Joseph Fernand Henri Léger (1881-1955) was a French painter, sculptor, and filmmaker who along with Braque and Picasso
was involved in the development of Cubism. His work eventually evolved into a more personal approach to the genre using some of its fundamental aspects but with simplified forms and bold primary colors. Some art historians consider him to be a forerunner of the Pop Art movement
of the 1960’s.
