Kenneth A. Licht (American, 1923-2016)

Kenneth Licht learn to draw and cartoon in high school and won a full scholarship to Tyler School of Fine Art of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He received a Master’s in Education from the University of Arizona in Tuscson, AZ. Son of an architect, Licht studied architectural rendering and fine art.

He moved to the east coast and became a professional architectural renderer for Ferno, Kempa and Schwartz in New your City, NY He went on to establish his own business in architectural illustration and created more than 2,000 renderings for architects.His architectural illustrations appeared in textbooks and magazines, including Architectural Forum and Progressive Architecture.

He later turned to his love of fine art, working in various media, sculpture and boxes of found objects (in the style of Joseph Cornell) along with smaller geometric paintings done in acrylic. 

He had numerous one-man shows and his box collections were exhibited in the Bergen Museum of Art and Science in Bergen County, New Jersey. .
